The RECOVERY project was presented to the participants in the international conference summarizing the results of the RFCS TEXMIN project “The Impact of Extreme Weather Events on Mining Activities” that was celebrated at the Główny Instytut Górnictwa – GIG (Central Mining Institute) on Tuesday, October the 4th, 2022, in a hybrid mode. One of the project aims was to identify risks to active and decommissioned mines and post-mining areas, along with an assessment of impacts caused by short-term extreme weather events and long-term climate change.
Case study 4, titled “Polish experiences and perspectives, monitoring results and interconnection between RECOVERY and TEXMIN“, was presented by Dr. Aleksander Wrana.
